The Little A'Le'Inn is a small bar, grill and motel located in Rachel (the closest town to Area 51), which sits along the Extraterrestrial Highway. The business has been running for over 20 years and is frequented by UFO enthusiasts. The original owners were Joe and Pat Travis who opened the inn in 1989. In 1991 Joe and Pat wanted something to make the inn more unique as they felt that the name, Joe and Pat's,was not exciting enough. They held a contest which was won by Bruce Hooker with Little A'le'Inn which is a wonderful play on words and great marketing.
The business has a variety of Area 51 and UFO related merchandise for sale such as maps of the area, posters, postcards, and toys, and offers an Alien Burger. Whilst we were here we did not try any of the food as we were on a schedule to get back to Vegas, but we did buy some trinkets from the gift shop and asked about directions to find the most secretive and mysterious place they call Dreamland.
Want to spend the night in Rachel? Well the Little A'Le'Inn has a motel. Watch the skies around one of the most highly active UFO hot spots in the world and then retire to your room... and hope that you don't have an otherworldly abduction or get visited by those Men in Black! When we return to NV we may have to add a nights stay here ourselves in the future and do some sky watching ourselves.
